Free Web Images

“A picture says a thousand words.” No statement could be more true when it comes to building a web site. Web images are crucial, but how do you get your web images?

This is where I get mine!

Photos

  • www.istockphoto.com (not free images): If I want high quality photos, and just the right images, I know I need to pay for them. I have been a member of iStock Photo for years, and it is still my FAVORITE source for photos and vector images.
  • Flickr Creative Commons (free): If your site is commercial, be sure it has the appropriate licensing and attribution. You can search images that are approved for commercial use and manipulation.

Vector Images

Use web images from www.istockphoto.com, or create your own using a program like Adobe Illustrator.

Free Icons

There are many more resources, but these are my favorites for web images.
